Getting here from the north

Rufford House is situated in Arnold in Nottingham's north, and convenient to both the M1 and A1.
The house verges on town and countryside, very close to frequent bus routes and a short ten minute walk from Arnold Town Centre with its multitude of shops and eating places. Closer still (two minutes walk) is The Ram, a hospitable pub offering reasonably priced meals. 
A nearby park and ride facility offers convenient travel to Nottingham city.

If traveling from the south:

  • Leave the M1 at junction 26 and take the 3rd left turn. At the first large roundabout take the 2nd left A6002, Low Wood Road.
  • At the T junction traffic lights turn left (Ken Martin Pool on your left) onto Hucknall Lane. (Still A6002)
  • At the first roundabout turn right onto Hucknall Road (A611) over the railway bridge. Travel through the first set of traffic lights. 
  • At the second set of lights turn left onto Bestwood Park Drive. Carry straight on until the T junction with Oxclose Lane (A6004).
  • Turn left and travel, remaining in the left hand lane, a short distance until you turn left into Mansfield Road (A60). On your right should be the VW Garage, on your left the White Hart Restaurant.
  • Keep left and travel up the A60 (towards Mansfield) until you reach the 3rd set of lights.
  • Turn right into Redhill Road.
  • Rufford House is situated about 200 yards up on the right.

  • Travel down the A614 to the roundabout junction with the A60.
  • Turn left onto the A60 towards Nottingham over Redhill.
  • Turn left into Redhill Road at the first set of traffic lights.
  • Rufford House is situated about 200 yards up on the right.
